| Description | This class is taught by Colorado Gun Broker Owner Josh Rayburn, an NRA certified instructor. The course is designed for novice, but also has benefits and valuable knowledge for those with prior handgun experience. The course includes basic firearms safety and actual range time as well. There will also be a written test. Upon completion of the class students will be able to apply for a conceal carry permit. The class covers: General Safety; Various Handguns and Calibers; Personal, Mental, and Home Safety; Self-Defense Use; and Basic Conceal Carry Knowledge, i.e. Holsters, Stance, and Placement. The class will take approximately 8 hours. We do offer class firearms if you are unsure which gun you would prefer, but if you already own a weapon we do suggest you train with it. You will be at our location all day, so please bring a lunch or a few dollars to buy something to eat. Wear a strong belt and layers, as the weather tends to be chillier. Class size is between 3 and 9 people. The cost is $150, payable in advance. There must be at least 3 registrations in order for a class to take place. Classes are a first come, first served basis. You may bring ammunition, or if you do not have any we offer an ammo package for $40.00 additional. Classes take place on Saturday’s only, from 9AM-5PM. There will be a $45 fee for any no shows or any individuals who do not notify us within 48 hours of your class that they cannot attend.
